Back in business

Hi Everyone,

Well it has been a while indeed. Ive been taking some time to myself to refocus lately, to think about what it is I am doing and what it is I enjoy and putting a little more time and effort into that.

I have had loads of lovely comments and messages about people missing my ranting and raving about all sorts of materialistic indulgences! So, I thought I would write tonight as theres no real good time to start back so why not just dive straight back in and see how it goes?

I have had a fabulous summer, spending time in Spain and for the first time in a very long time, Paris. Which I fell in love so hard with. I’m hoping to return to Paris by the end of this year for a long weekend. I have also been back and forth to London as I love spending weekends there. I’ve decided all my shopping must be done here as it is just not the same at home (unfortunately), I’m just thankful that I have a local Zara.. The world would be a very different place without Zara.

All of a sudden, we have shifted into Autumn and earlier this evening I decided to completely clear my wardrobe and list it all on Depop. I love doing this, its a bit extreme and obviously I keep bits like jeans and staple pieces but it does your mind AND most importantly, your look so good to just start a fresh with the seasons. In case I have given you some food for thought, I must forewarn you, it does takes ages BUT absolutely worth it when you get to buy all new pieces with the money you have earned selling.

Since I find myself suddenly very short of clothes, its a great excuse to delve into my shopping folder on my phone and fire up those online shopping apps. My newest app being Mango, I love their knitwear, shoes and have some of the most gorgeous coats/jackets, including the infamous teddy style designs which are very popular at the moment.

Speaking of which, I recently purchased a coat of my own, the lovely green number you see at the top of the page. I wore this out over the weekend for the first time, I literally came out of hibernation just as an excuse to wear it. I had so many compliments and looks while wearing it and A LOT of laughs and “NO WAY”s when I revealed where I got it.

I bought this coat for ยฃ40 from Sainsbury’s, I know, funnily enough Iย came across it while popping in for a food shop. I tried it on in my own size but decided to get it very oversized to get a more designer look to the shape and I think it has worked a treat. My coat isn’t online to buy just yet but fingers crossed you can find it in your local store!

It’s lovely to be back, please do message me anytime with requests on styles or any suggestions you have or want to see done. I love hearing from you and wish I did more often, It’s one of the reasons why I love doing this and why I am still doing it.

Here are some of my Autumn highlights so far, enjoy.

**Flicks Hair**

I’ve now cut all these lovely long locks off.. I was getting super tired of my hair, I’ve done it once before and got too jealous of seeing the likes of Olivia Culpo rocking her beautiful bob, so snip, and the hair was gone. Im going to try and keep it up this time ๐Ÿ’‡๐Ÿป

Anyway.. RED, the power colour.

Colour of the season, I have embraced this trend in the form of jumpers, trousers and shoes. All or nothing kinda gal’..

Again a great way to brighten up your outfit with a statement colour like red. This jumper was more of an orangey red which I love! The jumper is from Mango and you can get it now.

I paired it with my new Alexander McQueen trainers and you you guessed it, they are red metallic on the backs ๐Ÿ˜‰

  8. Missguided Red aviator Jacket LOVE this from ASOS!

Two of my favourite things, a PRINT and a SHIFT dress, in one!

I love this dress, I think it looks super high fashion and reminds me of one of my favourite ‘collab’ designers, Preen by Thornton Bregazzi. This dress is from our favourite high street store, ZARA. It is priced at the higher end of the scale, retailing at ยฃ69.99 but you won’t believe how many compliments I had for this dress, totally worth it. And it looks ten times the price it actually is.

I had a great night when I wore this dress. Plans were to visit one of my favourite low key Italian restaurants in London, Da Mario, Gloucester Road (which was beaut as ever), if you’re ever in London and want authentic Italian food, I highly recommend it.

However, post dinner drinks turned into a Sloane Square club, Tonteria, with my PIC, how this happened I will never know, but in my opinion, these are the funniest, most memorable nights! Wild..

If you like the look of this dress, I do think that Zara have other lovely similar ones, so I am going to tag my favourite picks, similar to this look here for you below, hopefully you’ll love them as much as I do.

Much love,

GT xo

And I am back in retail heaven people, AGAIN!

I have just been away on a girlie to London. Full of shopping and sitting in champagne bars sipping on my drink of the weekend, a Lychee Martini. I feel like all I speak about is clothes and drink..

Anyway, I love being in London because any outing is an excuse to dress up. Here I am in High Street Kensington ready for a day out, hitting the high street. Speaking of which, this look is almost completely TOPSHOP, still available and super affordable (links below).

I love these boots, they are last years but I feel like you can still get some really similar ones in Topshop and there are some even nicer ๐Ÿ˜. These still have some life in them so I can’t justify investing in another pair just yet..

A leather skirt and leather boots is quite a strong look so it was nice to soften it a little with this baby pink jumper, just to make it a little more feminine. Im a huge fan of keeping the legs out in winter and leather is a great way to cling on to this look, so I have a similar post coming this way very soon ๐Ÿ‘€..

P.S. Here I am with a non alcoholic drink, it does happen occasionally I promise..

Autumn ๐Ÿ

Autumn has fallen and my new leather skirt is out in full force..

I love this season and I love rocking a leather skirt for a night out like here or even better, with a chunky knit jumper and my new Alexander McQueen trainers ๐Ÿ˜

This Autumn Iโ€™m definitely investing in RED, it is major right now, colour of the season ๐Ÿ’ฏ! This skirt and a red jumper would be so gorge!

This shirt Iโ€™m wearing is from Zara and I feel like itโ€™s so popular already so definitely get it while you can. I love itโ€™s wide collar and the long sleeves! Amazing if youโ€™re wearing it out at night, top two buttons undone with a lacy black bra underneath, youโ€™ll look so chic.

(I have put the direct links of where you can buy the shirt and skirt ๐Ÿ˜˜)

Happy Autumn guys, my favourite holiday is coming.. Halloween ๐ŸŽƒ

London weekends away and you’ll find me at the bar in the Mandarin Oriental sipping on my new favourite cocktail, a ‘Corryvreckan’?! Not a clue, go figure, but SO delicious, I highly recommend it!

One of my favourite things to do is getting in the car, driving up the M4 to retail heaven, Oxford Street and Knightsbridge. Good food, good wine, retail therapy and a Sunday breakfast in the Ivy at Chelsea, wonderful.

Here, I just had one of my ‘Corryvreckan’s’ and was off out for some Italian food, which is my favourite. Again, this beautiful pink blouse is from Elle Belle Attire, definitely check them out if you like this top and the one previous, in my Black is everything, until you embrace colour ๐ŸŒธ post. Look at those sleeves!

Black is everything, until you embrace colour ๐ŸŒธ

BLACK, GREY AND MORE BLACK.. I was the worst culprit for hiding behind black, my wardrobe was strictly monochrome only..

Until I found a style muse (the babes you find on Insta, everyone has one) who rocked all of this colour and looked great for it! Blew my mind. So I started to dabble in the pool of colour, and now what do you know, I love colour! In fact, most of my wardrobe is bright pinks, oranges and colourful metallics.

I implore you to go out and invest in a shirt like the one I’m wearing here from the lovely Elle Belle Attire (they do some lovely pieces, well worth checking them out), it reminds me so much of Gucci, I love the neck tie that comes with it! By embracing some colour, you’ll find a new lease of style, but most importantly the monochromes can definitely stay too, note my favourite Zara trousers still piece together my outfit.

So we can keep the dark but also let in the light! Happy shopping xo

Pretty woman๐Ÿ’„

A Julia Roberts, Pretty Woman inspired polka dot moment, every girls dream ๐Ÿ–ค

I had so many compliments on this outfit! I love finding new designers and this little gem is from Bec and Co. (If you find them on Insta, youโ€™ll see Chloe Lewis wearing this two piece, I absolutely love her fashion sense, definitely worth a look to pick up a few fashion tips ๐Ÿ˜)

I was off out for some drinks on a Saturday night for a leaving party and this outfit was perfect, I love trouser suits because they’re so comfy but look so chic โ˜บ

I’m planning on dressing this outfit down soon, I think it’ll look fab with my Valentino trainers and an oversized bag, so versatile!
